Rebeccas Song
Now is the time to be mindful of light
to keep the flame going, to give up the fight
for life is a pleasure, its not meant for pain
let go of the struggle and dance once again
For you all have an angel who sits at your side,
who waits for your calling, who hears every cry
shes there at your service, there as your guide,
so call her, shes waiting with arms open wide.
The God that youre seeking needs not to be sought
youre already one like the sea and the salt
the Source is within you, the force is at hand
its been in your soul since your life began.
So rejoice, my child, in the gifts that you have
the light of the world is the torch in your hand
and when you get beyond your fear and your pain,
youll see God in the being who goes by your name.

YOU ARE THE RIVER, I AM THE FLOW
/relations.html
Do not complain,
your gifts are so many
you have breath and sight
and life all around
dont let yourself worry
or dwell on whats missing
for all that you need already abounds
Chorus:
And I hold you like sunshine and bright colored flowers
I am one with you always,
I never let go
wherever you journey,
I journey beside you
for you are the river
and I am the flow.
There is food for the hungry,
you need only to share it
all truth is revealed,
you need only to see
each soul Ive created
contains all the heavens
I am there in your midst,
look around you, thats me
Chorus
Others may tell you
your sins keep us separate
theyll speak of the miles
between heaven and earth
but I tell you, my child,
theres no distance between us
Im the light of your fire,
youre the sound of my breath
Chorus

The Conversation
You are my spirit and I call on you
to help me remember what I know
you are the force that keeps me moving on,
when my memory of our oneness starts to go
you are the flame that lights the path I walk
the guide whose hand I need to lead me home
take me in your arms and lead me through the dark
to the spring from which all healing waters flow
I am the one whose hand is in your hand
I will lead you down whatever path you choose
I am your guardian, Im your dearest friend
Im your deepest intuition, Im your muse
I am the voice that calls you to the Light,
the truest of the voices that you hear
and every time you call on me Im there for you
Im always at your side, Im always near.
Then do you have the answers I am looking for?
All the answers that you seek, you have inside
How am I to know if what I choose is right?
If youve chosen out of love, love will abide
and when I feel the darkness of the world in me,
what am I to do with all my grief?
My child, your world is only what you say it is
if you call it dark, then dark is what will be.
How am I to know what I am here to do?
Just be who you are, the doing will get done
How can I get past the fear of whats to come?
All that fear will disappear once youve begun
How can I remember I am of the light
when theres hunger and hardship all around?
Take the hand of everyone youre walking with
and the love you feel will spread that light around

Hello Again
I never thought Id write another love song,
or sing another song about goodbye
but what am I to do with all these feelings here for you
that make me want to sing and stay awhile?
The day is moving closer to tomorrow,
and the hours left for sharing seem so few
as my spirit is arising to face a new horizon
my mind is finding ways to say hello again to you
The seasons change, the leaves they fell
and never shed a tear
they have a way of letting go when dying time is near
they have a way of knowing as theyre falling to the earth
that every kind of dying is another kind of birth
so hello again, Ill see you in the spring time,
Ill see your face in every bud I find
out of winters chilly sorrow
grows a bright and green tomorrow
where Ill hold you like a flower in the palm of my mind
the caterpillar wraps herself in darkness for a time
while her tiny wings starts growing
and her colors get defined
I hope to learn my lessons from the simple things I see
theres growing times, and sowing times
and time to set things free
so hello again Ill see you in the summer
Ill be the breeze that comforts you at night
and when summer turns to fall
Ill be beside you through it all
though my hands have let you go, you know
my mind still holds you tight.

For the Light of You
Ill wake you with the sound of angels singing,
I will take you to the place where we have wings to fly,
Ill make you purple ribbons from the morning sky
and weave for you a sweet bouquet
of flowers found along the way
Ill bring you all the colors of the rainbow
and Ill sing you every love song I have ever known,
Ill queen you with a crown of golden stardust
and a garland made of moonbeams mixed with lace
do you know that Ive seen heaven in your face?
Ill fold you in my arms if you are frightened
Ill console you if the shadows overcome the light
Ill hold you as youve held me through the darkest night
Ill be the moon and stars for you,
the rising sun, the morning dew
I love you wildly like a fire raging in the night,
and mildly like candle flame thats burning bright,
inside me is more joy than I have ever known
you found me in the dark and brought me home,
for the light of you Im grateful evermore.

Thank You For Your Kindness
When Im walking down the road some days and see the setting sun
theres a question in my mind sometimes about what Ive left undone
I wonder if Ive made it clear to those Ive left behind
just how very much I feel you here and hold you in my mind
and I want to say thank you for your kindness, thank you for your dreams
the love that you are sending rushes through me like a stream
it flows into my morning hours and takes me through the day
at night its like a candle lighting up my way
Im heading for the mountaintop, moving toward the light
and the truth that I was seeking is moving into sight
I know I had it with me long before I started out,
but Im learning from the bottom up what faith is all about
and I want to say thank you for believing, thank you for your love
Im soaring on the breezes, flying like a dove
if it werent for all youve given me, the strength youve handed down
I never would have found the wings to get me off the ground
and though Im often by myself, I never feel alone
your spirits here beside me and I feel like Im at home
when I hear the songs we used to sing, I know youre doing well
and it feels just like a miracle near as I can tell
and I want to say thank you for your goodness, thank you for your care
theres some who call it energy and some who call it prayer
but theres something to this spirit thats holy as its free
and this journey that Im making is for you as well as me.

Theres Always the Goodbyes
Theres always the goodbyes,
but at the end of every dream the sun will rise,
the morning star will take the darkness
from our dawning eyes
oh give us back the wings we need to fly
Comes time for leaving, I start feeling the pain,
my mind starts remembering
all the good times again
champagne in the moonlight,
dancing in the rain
my reasons for leaving are leaving me again
Oh the dreams, they keep changing
as night turns into day,
its hard to keep moving on,
but its just as hard to stay
theres no way of knowing
whats the best way to be going,
theres times you never know until youre gone.
Sometimes I feel like a child again,
sometimes I feel so old
theres days when doubt gets the best of me,
days when Im fearless and bold,
but Im open for the learning,
try to keep my candle burning
its not as easy or as hard as Ive been told.

Call Me
Call me, call me from your breasts of mountains,
mama, call me from your back of rolling hills,
call me from your redwood arms a-reaching,
mama, call me, call me fire to the chill.
Call me, from your ocean waves and wonders, mama,
call me from your islands in the sea,
call me from your eagles nest a-hidin, mama,
call me, call my wings forth, call me free.
Call me from your northern winds a-blowing,mama,
call me from beneath your frozen streams,
call me from the heart of every glacier mama,
call me, call and wake me from this dream
Call me from your jungles fires a-flaming, mama,
call me from your ashes left behind,
call me from your heart while its still beating, mama,
call me, I am yours and you are mine.

The Artist's Creed
I believe I am worth the time it takes to create whatever I feel called to create.
I believe that my work is worthy of its own space, which is worthy of the name Sacred.
I believe that, when I enter this space, I have the right to work in silence, uninterrupted, for as long as I choose.
I believe that the moment I open myself to the gifts of the Muse, I open myself to the Source of All Creation and become One With the Mother of Life Itself.
I believe that my work is joyful, useful and constantly changing, flowing through me like a river with no beginning and no end.
I believe that what it is I am called to do will make itself known when I have made myself ready.
I believe that the time I spend creating my art is as precious as the time I spend giving to others.
I believe that what truly matters in the making of art is not what the final piece looks like or sounds like, not what it is worth or not worth, but what newness gets added to the universe in the process of the piece itself becoming.
I believe that I am not alone in my attempts to create, and that once I begin the work, settle into the strangeness, the words will take shape, the form find life, and the spirit take flight.
I believe that as the Muse gives to me, so does she deserve from me: faith, mindfulness and enduring commitment.
The Artist's Creed is published as a poster (14x18 inches) with the text overlaid on the same color photograph as the Marry Your Muse book cover. $15 by mail. Wholesale orders please inquire.
