In Broken Images
He is quick, thinking in clear images;
I am slow, thinking in broken images.
He becomes dull, trusting to his clear images;
I become sharp, mistrusting my broken images.
Trusting his images, he assumes their relevance;
Mistrusting my images, I question their relevance.
Assuming their relevance, he assumes the fact;
Questioning their relevance, I question their fact.
When the fact fails him, he questions his senses;
when the fact fails me, I approve my senses.
He continues quick and dull in his clear images;
I continue slow and sharp in my broken images.
He in a new confusion of his understanding;
I in a new understanding of my confusion.

I talk to my inner lover, and I say, why such rush?
We sense that there is some sort of spirit that loves birds and animals and the ants-
perhaps the same one who gave a radiance to you in your mother's womb.
Is it logical you would be walking around entirely orphaned now?
The truth is you turned away yourself, and decided to go into the dark alone.
Now you are tangled up in others, and have forgotten what you once knew,
and that's why everything you do has some weird failure in it.
Kabir (15th century Indian poet/mystic)

This is what you should do:
Love the earth and sun and animals,
despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks,
stand up for the stupid and crazy,
devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants,
argue not concerning God,
have patience and indulgence toward the people...
reexamine all you have been told in school or church or in any book,
dismiss what insults your very soul,
and your flesh shall become a great poem.

Dear Jan
A couple weekends ago I was in Breckenridge, Colorado with a group of women who are committed to starting a new movement in this country. They are all early childhood educators and their agenda is to bring about a more child-centered culture. Their movement, at least for now, is called The Nation of the Child.
We worked diligently from Friday through Sunday, focusing equally on body, mind and spirit, and they plowed through obstacles with amazing velocity.The final exercise was a visualization of their success which included a body movement piece where each of them created new neural networks to help them actually pave the way for the future they were creating. In conclusion, in order to give each woman a chance to embrace and embody this new reality, they danced in celebration to some great rock and roll music.
I grabbed my camera to capture some of the excitement and was awestruck when I downloaded my images and saw all these orbs in every shot. Acccording to Wikipedia, an orb is the energy being transferred from a source (i.e. a person or people) to the spirit so they can manifest. Who knows? It's not worth battling over, but IS something to think about anyway...So I'm sharing some of the pictures here...

This brings to mind the words of W. N. Murray regarding the Scottish Himalayan Expedition:
Until one is committed,
there is hesitancy,
the chance to draw back,
always ineffectiveness.
Concerning all acts of initiative and creation,
there is one elementary truth,
the ignorance of which kills countless ideas
and splendid plans:
That the moment one definitely commits oneself,
then Providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one
that would otherwise never have occurred.
A whole stream of events issues from the decision
raising in one's favor all manner
of unforeseen incidents
and meetings and material assistance,
which no one could have dreamt
would have come their way.

Everything, everything, everything will unfold as you imagine it, once you commit to the vision of your imagination. These women in Colorado are 100 percent committed to their vision, so I send out this Museletter as a birth announcement of a new wave of consciousness and care for the young. They will be a force in this country as was Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Dorothy Day, Rosa Parks, Margaret Sanger, Rachel Carson.
One hundred years from now, they will be heroes and their names will be written in bronze. Today, they are workhorses, warriors for peace, women of the light who speak truth TO power and FROM power.
They are my heroes now, at this very moment, as are each of you who are speaking out for those who can't, carrying torches instead of swords, and creating unity by re-pairing the parts that have been torn asunder.
I have you in my prayers every day and this circle will not be broken.
Love and blessings,
Jan
